Eight Ships Limited was actively involved in the Marine Asset Recovery from 2000-2003. The Marine Asset Recovery activities has at times required Eight Ships Limited to be a Ship Owner and Operator. The ships owned by Eight Ships Limited have included:

M.T. Iona (ex-Galea II)
39,865 mt dwt clean product tanker built 1975 re-classed to LR (Lloyd's Register of Shipping) upgraded to comply with MARPOL in particular para 13G.
Operated in spot clean products trading and vegetable oil trading. Special Survey passed in April 2002. Taken over in Hong Kong April 2000 and retired December 2003.

 
M.V. Mull (ex-Dorado)
10,450 dwt bulk carrier built 1979 re-classed to LR (Lloyd's Register of Shipping). Taken over in July 2000 and retired June 2001.
 
M.V. Kintyre (ex-Rhona A)
10,920 dwt bulk carrier built 1980 re-classed to LR (Lloyd's Registers of Shipping). Taken over in Cape Town July 2000 and retired in May 2001.
 
M.V. Bute (ex-Paradise)
12,815 dwt multi-purpose carrier built 1979 BV class (Bureau Veritas).
Taken over in August 2000 and retired in November 2002.

 
M.V. Ogrady (ex-Biograd)
6,002 dwt bulk carrier built 1988 re-classed to LR (Lloyd's Register of Shipping). Special survey passed in September 2001. Taken over in China July 2001 and sold in May 2003.
 
Product tanker newbuilding 2 recovery
€32 million after securing arbitration award and enforcing same.
 
Mini bulk carrier newbuilding 4,800 dwt x 6 recovery US$27 million after securing arbitration
award and enforcing same.
